Fantic also stars in the Motocross of Nations

In Red Bud, USA, Cornelius Tondel and Hakon Osterhagen lead Norway to thirteenth place in the 2022 Motocross of Nations

Last, prestigious, seasonal appointment for Fantic Factory Team Maddii, with the Motocross of Nations that was run on the beautiful track of Red Bud, USA and in which Cornelius Tondel, riding the Fantic XXF 450 and Hakon Osterhagen with the Fantic XX 250 took to the track to defend the colors of Norway,

The first day was devoted to qualifying, during which the riders, divided by class went in search of the best performance to qualify the national team for the three Sunday heats.

First on the track was Cornelius Tondel in MXGP, who thanks to an excellent performance finished in an outstanding 11th place. Hakon Osterhagen in the MX2 class heat, however, made a mistake and was forced to retire. Thanks to the results of the three riders, Norway qualified with 12th place.

Sunday's first race saw the MXGP and MX2 classes at the start, and Cornelius Tondel, after a not easy start, put on a good comeback, which was interrupted halfway through the race when a mistake caused him to lose several positions, forcing him to finish 22nd.

Race 2, reserved for Open and MX2, saw Osterhagen protagonist of a shrewd start to try not to make mistakes and a heat run always around 20th position to then finish in 25th place.

The last race of the day saw the two Fantic riders run together, having a good heat, trying to find the right rhythm riding the, for them, new 4Ts. In fact, Tondel and Osterhagen have been racing 250 2Ts all season and have only had one race to prepare for the new displacements, but they still had a very good run, finishing 24th and 27th respectively.

Marco Maddii: "It was quite a difficult weekend, however our riders came close to the best result ever with their national team. Honestly we could have done a little better, we are a little sorry, but it was still a great experience for everyone. Now we'll take a few days to rest and then get off to a great start for next season".
