At the Australian GP, Aron Canet fought for victory until the very last lap, ultimately finishing in second place. This marks his and Fantic Racing Moto2’s sixth podium of the season, and the fourth out of the last five races.
Aron Canet delivered a thrilling performance at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Starting fast from second on the grid, he showed great pace right from the beginning, managing the early stages of the race with precision. Only Aldeguer was able to match his speed, leading to an exciting, action-packed duel filled with overtakes and counter-overtakes, all while setting blistering lap times.
In the lead with only a few corners remaining, Canet just missed out on the win in the final stages, crossing the finish line in second place. This podium further highlights his excellent form and the incredible synergy between him and the Fantic Racing Moto2 squad. The 24-year-old Spaniard also set the fastest lap of the race with a time of 1'30.816, even quicker than Saturday’s pole time and a new all-time lap record for the Moto2 category.
Xavi Cardelus continued his steady progress in Australia, finishing 20th after another solid performance on a challenging track.

Now I am back to second place in the championship standings, and we want to keep pushing all the way to Valencia.
