Cristino leads Team Italy to Junior Trophy glory at Six Days

Fantic shines at the 99th edition of the Six Days, the “Olympics of Enduro”, held in Bergamo. Kevin Cristino takes the Italian team to the top in the Junior class. Albin Norrbin and Axel Semb claim second in the World Trophy with Sweden. Matteo Pavoni and the Fantic XE 300 dominate the Club classification.

The 99th edition of the International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE), the world’s most historic off-road race, took place in the stunning Bergamo Valleys, reaffirming the event’s status as one of the highlights on the international enduro calendar.

The competition, which kicked off on Sunday, 24 August, and concluded on Friday, 29 August, with the final Cross test at the MXE.45 circuit in Covo, was organised and managed by Motoclub Bergamo. In just a few months, the club and its Scuderie designed and set up the special tests and routes, covering the main valleys of the area: Val Cavallina, Val Brembana, and Val Seriana. The event attracted over 700 riders from 33 nations and a large crowd of fans along the entire route, in the paddock, and especially at the special tests, creating an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and participation that will be remembered for a long time.

Day 1 and Day 2 were held in the Val Cavallina area. Kevin Cristino immediately showcased his talent, both on the opening day, riding on slippery and muddy terrain due to heavy rain, and during the second day, when the sun dried the special tests. Riding the Fantic XE 300 with a fuel-injected Minarelli engine, the 21-year-old led Team Italy to the top of the Junior Trophy standings from the very start.

After clinching the Junior World Trophy with Sweden in the previous edition, Albin Norrbin and Axel Semb competed in this year’s World Trophy. Following a cautious start, the two Fantic riders steadily improved, with Norrbin finishing seventh overall on the second day. Just behind him was Kevin Cristino in eighth place.

On Day 3, the route took riders through the scenic Val Seriana to the Clusone area, where the fifth special test, “Cavalli,” was held – a spectacular track that drew a huge crowd. Norrbin once again stood out with an eighth-place overall finish. Cristino was the second-fastest Junior of the day, riding consistently without major mistakes.

Day 4 saw the course cover Val Seriana and part of Val Borlezza, where the Bossico special test offered a stunning view of Lake Iseo. With seven special tests in total, the top Fantic performer was Norrbin, who finished fifth overall on the Fantic XEF 310 – a fantastic personal best for the 23-year-old Swede, helping his team move into second place in the provisional Trophy standings.

The final day of Enduro was affected by heavy rain, forcing the organisers to adapt the route. The Fantic riders managed the challenging conditions well in preparation for the grand finale. The top Fantic rider was Kevin Cristino, who finished tenth overall.

Medals were awarded at the MXE.45 Circuit in Covo – and the Fantic celebration erupted at the checkered flag: in the Junior class, Kevin Cristino led Italy to victory with all of his heart, skill and pure determination aboard his Fantic XE 300. Cristino also achieved a strong individual result, finishing second overall in the E3 category and second in the Junior class. In the World Trophy, the Swedish team with Axel Semb and Albin Norrbin secured an impressive second place, just behind the host nation. Norrbin also shone individually, finishing seventh overall and top 3 of the E2 category.

In the Club category, Matteo Pavoni dominated the 2025 Six Days. The factory-supported Team Specia rider set the fastest time over the first four days and led his Fantic XE 300 with Minarelli engine to the top of the individual standings in the Club Team Award.

Another highlight were Fantic Racing’s two Enduro and Motocross supervisors, Alex Salvini and Davide Guarneri, who returned to the saddle for the occasion. Teaming up with Matteo Zoppas, they completed the Six Days, propelled by the home crowd – a testament that passion is the true driving force, both on and off the bike.

Passion, dedication, and expertise were also evident in Fantic’s race service area, successfully managed by Antonio Specia and his team of technicians: all 16 riders from different nations reached the finish line of the 99th edition of the legendary Six Days of Enduro.

Kevin Cristino:

“It was an amazing Six Days, both for me and for the whole team. I always felt great on my Fantic, and the support from the fans was incredible from the first to the last day. We were motivated, we wanted to win and hear the Italian national anthem – winning in front of the home crowd is an unforgettable experience. I am super happy, but we stay focused because anything is still possible in the EnduroGP World Championship. I want to show that I am ready to bring home another title.”

Albin Norrbin:

“Six Days done, and it was a good week for me! Due to our starting position being far back on Day 1, it started off a little slow, but after that I finished in the top 10 on most of the days and scored a personal best with a fifth place. I felt comfortable on the bike, and overall it was a good week. Second for Team Sweden is also very good – it is nice to put Sweden back on the World Trophy podium after quite some time. Now let’s keep this momentum going into the next EnduroGP rounds!”

Axel Semb:

“We had a good week as a team and finished second – which is pretty cool because it has been a while since Sweden was on the podium of the World Trophy. We are all really happy with that. With the Italians on another level on home soil, I feel like we did the maximum. My individual results weren’t really what I was aiming for this week, but there are still many races coming up and I am looking forward to it.”
