A perfect conclusion to a memorable 2024 season at Estoril saw Fantic Cardoso Racing's Roberto Garcia claim the Moto2 European Championship title in the JuniorGP series.
Roberto García has been the rightful champion of the category after being the fastest since the beginning of the year. In total, the Andalusian rider has accumulated 170 points with four wins and six podiums in eleven races.
In yesterday's race, García kept his cool from the start with a constant pace and remained calm from the first laps, in fact, it was enough for him to be fifth to be crowned champion.
Roberto García: “This year has been very hard, we have worked hard and we have had many rivals who have made it really difficult for us. We have also had some bad moments, like in Jerez, but we knew how to recover and we have continued to trust in our work... I have really enjoyed this championship with my team. Regarding these days, we had a crash in practice but, again, we knew how to get up and work hard to achieve our goal. Now it's time to enjoy, we deserve it. Thank you very much to Cardoso - Fantic Racing, to all the sponsors and to my family.”
