After securing the Team World Championship title in 2025, Fantic Racing Moto2 looks to the future on solid foundations and with renewed ambition: Eric de Seynes becomes Team Owner, to ensure continuity and provide further momentum to the project that will see Barry Baltus and Tony Arbolino on track in the 2026 season.
Coming off a successful 2025 season, Fantic Racing Moto2 is looking ahead to the next chapter, welcoming Eric de Seynes as Team Owner. Driven by a deep passion for the world of two wheels, de Seynes brings decades of experience in motorsport, having held leading roles at both European and global levels. Shared passion and values provide the basis for the continuation of Fantic Racing’s successful path in the Grand Prix World Championship, with the aim of reinforcing the team’s position at the top of the Moto2 category while also broadening its strategic horizons.
Eric de Seynes’ entry represents further strengthening of the already proven structure of the reigning Moto2 Team World Champions, with all key roles confirmed. Alongside Mariano Roman, Head of Racing, Stefano Bedon and Roberto Locatelli will continue to lead the team as Project Manager and Team Manager, respectively. With a well-established technical staff retained for 2026 and a top-level rider line-up – Barry Baltus, third overall in the 2025 Riders’ standings, joined by new signing Tony Arbolino, who boasts 29 career podiums including nine victories – Fantic Racing is preparing to take on another season as a leading contender in the Moto2 World Championship.
Paired with clear sporting goals, this ambitious project also aims to open up new opportunities for a positive impact on the image, resources and international culture of motorcycle racing: alongside his desire to promote and develop the sport in France, Eric de Seynes is committed to contributing to the prestige and visibility of motorcycle racing on a global level through his personal network and international vision.
Eric de Seynes, Team Owner:
“First of all, this is a human story, driven by passion. Throughout my career, motorcycling and especially the world of racing have always given me so much. My vision is to protect this dream of racing so that it can continue to inspire the next generation. In this regard, for me, Moto2 is a magical category. While MotoGP is a very unique world, Moto2 represents the top of what we could call the ‘normal’ racing pyramid. Looking at the bigger picture, I want to support talent and the next generation that will build the future of the sport. To reinforce the credibility of this commitment, Moto2 is the reference point. It is in this spirit that I chose to invest in the team, with full respect for everything that has been built and achieved so far. The Team World Championship title claimed this past season is further proof of how solid this project is. Coming in as Team Owner, my goal is not to create discontinuity, but to reinforce this project: I offer my full support to a winning team, to the values of the sport and the passion we share, and to the two riders committed for next year. We are just at the beginning of this new journey, with a long-term vision. We are ready to work hard and perform. Beyond being a winning team, I also want us to become a point of reference for fans who love motorsport, offering new generations the opportunity to experience the dream of racing.”
Mariano Roman, Head of Racing:
“We come off a fantastic season, and I am thrilled to continue this journey alongside Eric, a friend with whom I share a deep passion for motorcycling and racing, as well as immense respect for all the work he has carried out in the world of two wheels. His support, extensive experience and expertise will be a valuable contribution to ensuring continuity in our project. Our goal is to remain highly competitive, both as a team and in the riders’ standings, and we approach the 2026 season with great motivation and confidence. We have a well-established and largely unchanged technical structure, supporting two riders who will undoubtedly bring us great joy. With Barry Baltus, we aim to consolidate the incredible progress that led him to seven podiums and a remarkable bronze medal in the past season. With Tony Arbolino, we are working to bring him back to the positions that truly reflect his talent, as he has already proven himself to be one of the fastest riders in the Moto2 World Championship. We are building the future of the team on solid foundations, which allow us to continue dreaming big.”
Stefano Bedon, Project Manager:
“Eric de Seynes’ passion for the world of two wheels and racing is truly authentic. I am sure that his support, energy and international perspective will enable us to take another step forward. The entire team is enthusiastic about this injection of motivation, which will drive us to improve even further. With him and Fantic, there can be only one goal: to win.”
Costantino Sambuy, CEO of Fantic Motor:
“The 2025 season brought outstanding results for Fantic, including the Moto2 Team World Championship title. We are very proud of these sporting achievements and equally pleased to have reached an understanding with a high-profile figure such as Eric de Seynes. Eric has recognised the value of the work carried out and shares the values of Fantic Racing, ensuring continuity in the path undertaken with a forward-looking vision. On behalf of Fantic, we confirm our full support for the team, with the hope of experiencing another successful season for our colours.”
