Valencia, November 26th, 2023
The 2023 Moto2 World Championship concluded at Valencia's Ricardo Tormo Circuit.
Celestino Vietti has a good sprint at the beginning, from the fourth row in the eleventh position, recovering some positions. At turn four, Celestino was hit by another rider who came long under braking and ended up in the gravel, where he could not control his bike, crashing into the barriers. Unfortunately, Vietti was able to restart the race but had to return to the pits after a few laps due to damage to his bike.
It was a real shame for him, even though, despite this episode, he did not lose the spot in the top 10 in the world championship.
Mattia Casadei ends his Moto2 experience in twenty-fifth place. Mattia started from the thirtieth position and controlled the race without taking risks, passing under the chequered flag and recovering some positions.
Celestino Vietti: "I'm very sorry that the last race went like this. I wanted to finish with a good result with Fantic, but unfortunately, it was not possible. I thank the team and the whole company for their great job and the good results we got."
Mattia Casadei: "I had hoped to finish a little better, but I am still happy with my experience with Fantic. Moving from MotoE to Moto2 was a big jump, but the team has always supported me. I am incredibly grateful for everything they did to help me."
