At the 98th edition of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) in Spain, Kevin Cristino put the Fantic XE 300 on top of the E3 category with outstanding performances. Fantic Factory Racing Enduro’s Albin Norrbin and Axel Semb were crowned Junior World Trophy Champions with Team Sweden, while Fantic Junior Racing Enduro’s Pietro Scardina helped Italy win the Club Team Award.
The International Six Days of Enduro, the world’s oldest off-road motorcycle competition, took place this past week in Silleda, Spain. The event wrapped up on Saturday with the traditional cross test, held in torrential rain, turning the course into a mudfest. However, the extremely challenging track conditions did not slow down the Fantic riders, who impressed throughout the ISDE 2024.
Kevin Cristino, the reigning J1 champion, excelled on the fuel-injected Fantic XE 300 with Minarelli engine. The 20-year-old Italian began his strong charge on a remarkable second day of racing, which he finished in third place overall. Demonstrating determination and speed, Cristino went on to win the E3 class, secure fifth place overall, and claim second place among the U23 riders.
While Italy had to give up its hopes of glory in the Junior World Trophy due to the withdrawal of another squad member, Team Sweden, featuring Albin Norrbin and Axel Semb—both riding the Fantic XEF 310—quickly took the lead and never let go. It was an emotional victory, with the gold medal deservedly earned after the cross race, which was won by Norrbin. His individual results were also noteworthy, finishing seventh overall, third in the E2 class and third in the final Junior standings.
Pietro Scardina also delivered a great performance on his Fantic XE 125. In his first-ever Six Days experience, the Italian youngster finished fifth overall among the club riders, second in the C1 category, and stood atop the podium with the Moto Club Italia.
With the 98th edition of the ISDE complete in Galicia, Spain, enduro fans can look forward to next year’s race on Fantic home soil, scheduled to take place in Bergamo, Italy, from 24-29 August 2025.
Kevin Cristino:
“It was a fantastic Six Days, full of emotions. We started off a bit slow on the first day, but then I managed to achieve a series of great results that put me in the running for the E3 class victory, and I was able to secure it in the final cross test, in extreme conditions. The most important thing is that the feeling with the bike was exceptional right from the start, in all conditions. Despite the few hours spent on the Fantic XE 300, the result was extraordinary. I am really happy and I am sure this bike will bring me many more exciting moments. A big thanks to Fantic, my team, and everyone who has helped me.”
Albin Norrbin:
“It wasn’t an easy week. I struggled in the beginning, and even though my speed was good, I made too many mistakes. But Saturday went very well. I was really happy to get the holeshot on my Fantic XEF 310—probably the first holeshot of my life—and win the final cross test. It felt great to finish strong. As a team, after three years of trying, we finally pulled off the win in the Junior World Trophy. That one felt extra good, I am just very happy.”
Axel Semb:
“For me personally, it has been quite a challenging week here in Spain. I struggled with my feeling, and my fitness wasn’t at its best because I was dealing with some sickness, especially on the last day when I had a fever. I am just really happy to finish on a high note and finally get the win with the team. That feels great!”
Pietro Scardina:
“My first Six Days went really well, it was a fantastic experience. I am very happy about the victory with Team Italy and really satisfied with my Fantic. Despite riding a small 125 engine, we were able to manage the race well in all conditions. A huge thanks to the entire team for providing me with such a reliable bike. I had some great special tests during this Six Days, and above all, I gained a lot of experience. I am really happy.”
