18-year-old Roberto Garcìa, the current leader of the JuniorGP championship, will make his Moto2 World Championship debut with Fantic Racing at the Sachsenring. He will stand in for Xavi Cardelus who won’t be able to take part in the German GP after his fall in Practice 2 at the TT Circuit Assen.  

Following further medical checks, Xavi Cardelus didn’t undergo surgery on his right foot but will sit out the German GP in order to focus on his recovery.

In his absence, Fantic Racing can count on Roberto Garcìa who is currently leading the JuniorGP standings for Fantic Cardoso Racing. Just recently turned 18 years old, on the 31st of May, the Spaniard will be the youngest rider on the grid next weekend. Roberto is coming off a dominant performance at the latest JuniorGP round in Portugal, where he won both races starting from pole position in the Moto2 category. His growth is also due to the great work of José Luis Cardoso and his team, with whom Fantic Racing collaborates, a perfect environment to grow young talents.
