Silverstone, August 3, 2023
The British GP is the ninth round of the championship and takes place at the Silverstone track, the longest in the championship with its 5.9km length. With over 60 years of history, it is one of the most prestigious motorsport venues and, thanks to its layout, one of the fastest and most challenging.
Fantic Racing team Celestino Vietti and Borja Gomez are eager to be back on track after the summer break.
Vietti is determined to turn the speed he showed in the first part of the season into essential championship points.
Borja Gomez continues his year of apprenticeship by tackling the tricky British track for the first time.
Celestino Vietti: "I was looking forward to getting back on track after this long break. I have been training a lot and hope to take the benefits. Silverstone is a complete track, and I like it a lot. I know it will be crucial to work well from the first practice on Friday, but with the team, we are ready for it".
Borja Gomez: "I have used the last few weeks to train and prepare for the second part of the championship, which with 12 races in 4 months, will be tough. As for this GP, I am motivated. I know the circuit is very long and complex, so I won't be able to make mistakes, and I will have to make the most of the little time I have to learn it".
