Last race of the year for Fantic Motor in Pietramurata (ITA). The Grand Prix of Garda-Trentino raced today on the Ciclamino circuit also closes the EMX2T series with which Nicholas Lapucci and Fantic Motor are setting up the bike that will compete in the first EMX250 races of 2021. After setting the best lap time in the morning free practice session, the young Italian set the best lap time also in the timed session which give the starting order for the two motos. In the magnificent Dolomites scenario, under a sun that was anything but autumnal, Lapucci jumped out of the gate in front of everyone, setting the hole-shot of the first heat, leading the group for all sixteen laps of the race, also obtaining the best lap time in race and the third consecutive victory on the Trentino's track. Started well also in race two, Nicholas passed second at the first corner but took the lead of the group after a few corners, leading throughout the heat and scoring a fantastic double that gives Fantic the second victory in the European series reserved for motorcycles two-stroke. With the 50 points won today, the Fantic Motor rider climbs to the first step of the podium, closing in the best way a season that was full of satisfactions and successes for the historic Italian brand. See you in 2021 with new exciting challenges!
Corrado Maddii, Team Manager: "It was a good day for Nicholas but more than this, these days are crucial for us to understand the level from which we are starting. It is important to gain experience, to make starts and as many race laps as possible to collect useful data for the development of the bike. These are all things that will come in handy during the winter and it's a great way to end a really good season. I believe that having won the Italian and the European 125 Championships with Andrea (Bonacorsi) and these two races with Nicholas in the first year of competition, goes well beyond the wildest expectations of Fantic Motor”.
Nicholas Lapucci: “Today was another perfect day, although this time we already expected to do well. Starting in front and doing good heats like this is a great satisfaction and I'm very happy with my riding and how the bike is working. I can't wait to start this new adventure 100% with Fantic and the Maddii team in 2021 and to bring home many great results".
